Our Mission
Our mission is to teach and prepare liberally educated, articulate, and skilled computer scientists and software engineers for leadership and professional careers and for advanced study. A central objective of our program is to contribute to society by advancing the fields of computer science, Information Technology (IT), Internet of Things (IoT) and software engineering through innovations in teaching and research, thus enhancing student knowledge through interactive instruction, global engagement, and experiential learning. The program will serve as a resource to inform society about innovations related to the production and uses of computers and software.
Our Vision
nstitute of Information Technology (IIT) at Noakhali Science and Technology (NSTU) actually serves the purpose for which it was established:-To make advances in fundamental research and do pioneering works to help make the world a better place. IIT were established to create leaders who would help accelerate the technological advancement of Bangladesh. Day by day we are trying to make IIT a beautiful place for the students where they can show their extreme love and passion for research. IIT is not a place where people want to stay for the rest of their lives; it’s just a means of helping them get to a better place in their life.
Aims & Objective
- To promote the use of IT in the University and the country
- To produce software for indigenous use as well as for export
- To promote multidisciplinary development of computer applications
- To provide facilities for development of qualified manpower in Information Technology (IT)
- To provide refresher courses and training in newly emerging branches of Information Technology (IT)
- To hold seminars, conferences, workshops and other events related to the development of IT in the country
- To provide training to students, teachers, officers and employees of the University in relevant fields of Information Technology (IT)
- To provide courses leading to diplomas and degrees related to computing, computer applications and Information Technology (IT)
- To plan, install, maintain and develop computer networks within the University and also links to other institutions in the country as well as the internet
- To provide short term courses and training to interested and qualified persons from outside the University in relevant fields of Information Technology (IT)
- To initiate, organize and perform research in different IT sectors including computer applications in science, social science, business, administration, linguistics and all other subjects in which computer may be usefully employed
- To provide consulting and advisory services to the University and other educational institutions, the Government of Bangladesh, NGO’s, private and public sector corporations, industries and all other organizations which seek such assistance
- To provide consulting and advisory services and also some physical assistance to the University community in matters related to the purchase, maintenance and development of computing hardware and software through a Computing Service Cell Which will form an integral part of the Institute
